Tyra Banks Surprises “Twilight” Fans

Teen girl receives car driven by Robert Pattinson

Tyra Banks invited three teenage girls to appear on a taping of her talk show for a “Twilight” themed episode, reports the Associated Press. The girls were involved in the hectic autograph session at a San Francisco mall that police ultimately cancelled because of the massive crowd of 3,000 push to get in.

Robert Pattinson, who is one of the stars of the eagerly anticipated vampire flick, was scheduled to appear at the signing, which was on Nov. 10. However, he did appear on the talk show along with co-star Taylor Lautner to surprise the girls.

Banks had the girls compete in a pie-eating contest. The prize would be memorabilia from the movie. The contest even had Pattinson do a double take.

“I still can’t believe they are making you guys do this,” he said as he watched the girls in the contest.

Two of the girls ended up tying. One of them, 18-year-old Tiffany Kuhne, won a tiebreaker by guessing the combined weight of Pattinson and Lautner: 320 pounds.

Kuhne was then blindfolded and after being led outside, she saw that she just won the Volvo that Pattinson’s character drives in the film.

“This is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life,” she said, “I feel absolutely amazing, ecstatic.” She also did not previously own a car before appearing on the show.

The episode of “The Tyra Banks Show” will air on Nov. 28. “Twilight” opens on Nov. 21.
