Along with serving as an ambassador for the Clinton administration, Governor Richardson also became the energy secretary and worked in the House for 14 years.

One of the more prominent things that Governor Richardson is known for was his diplomatic conversations with former Iraq leader Saddam Hussein. At one point, Governor Richardson was thought to run for the Democratic presidential candidate position.
