Mischa Barton Launches Web Site

Former The O.C. actress Mischa Barton has recently launched her own Web site in an attempt to counteract any false reports regarding her personal life.

Tired of poorly misconstrued stories about her, making their way around, Barton has made a Web site, www.mischabarton.celebuzz.com, to let her fans know the truth. In a video message on her Web site, she says, "This is something I've really wanted for a long time, I'm just excited to have a real connection with my fans and put some truth out there."

The Web site tells of upcoming projects that Barton will be doing and also about some of her likes and dislikes. "I just think there's all kinds of misconceptions on the Internet these days and I really think that the Internet can be used for good and for bad and there's all kinds of crap that's written about me," Barton says, according to Just Jared. "Half the time I look at the Internet and read these stories and they're just so outlandish and not true at all and I don't want my fans to have the wrong idea of who I am as a person."
