Bill Cosby Plans Comedy Tour
25-Nov-2008
Written by: Jill Marino

Trek set to launch in January.

Celebrated actor and comedian Bill Cosby will be touring across the country in 2009, LiveDaily reports.

The 71-year-old Cosby has a performance in Ottawa on Nov. 28 and will take a break during the holidays before going back on the road in 2009. The first date on his new tour will be Jan. 16 in Elizabeth, Ind.

In his bio, Cosby says of his performances, “I feel that in-person contact with people is the most important thing in comedy. While I'm up on stage, I can actually put myself into the audience and adjust my pace and timing to them. I can get into their heads through their ears and through their eyes.”

The Cosby Show: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edition DVD was released this month and contains every episode from the hit sitcom’s eight seasons. Cosby has been awarded the Kennedy Center Honors Lifetime Achievement Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, as well as nine Grammys.

Cosby’s tour dates are scattered into the year, with performances scheduled until September. All information is available on Cosby’s Web site at www.billcosby.com.
