“Hills” Costars Stunned by Elopement

The surprise wedding of “The Hills” stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt stunned their reality show costars and colleagues.
The surprise wedding of “The Hills” stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt last week has led to an outpour of congratulations from unsuspecting costars and colleagues, according to People magazine.
"I am surprised and not surprised at the same time," costar Audrina Patridge said. "They obviously adore each other and are very committed to one another. Heidi and Spencer seem like the types who would want a lavish wedding full of friends and family. I do think it's very romantic that they eloped."
Costar Whitney Port, who will star in a “Hills” spinoff next year in New York, also congratulated the couple.
"Congratulations to them,” Port said. “I think it's great if that's what they're ready to do. Good for them."
MTV, whose cameras were not on-scene to capture the moment for the upcoming season of “The Hills,” offered a statement that said the nuptials will be explored when the reality show goes back into production.
"MTV wishes Heidi and Spencer the best and can't wait to share their special moment with The Hills fans later this season," MTV said.
A comment from “The Hills” star and Montag’s ex-best friend, Lauren Conrad, has not been made.
