Laura Bush Is Telling All in Memoirs
26-Nov-2008
Written by: Mic Mell

First Lady is releasing her memoirs.

The Associated Press has confirmed that First Lady Laura Bush is currently looking for a publisher for her memoirs. On Tuesday, she broke the news while talking about an upcoming program about the White House. She released a children's book last year, Read All About It, which did not meet with high commercial success. Given the monumental success of similar books by Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush, and Hillary Clinton, the memoirs are expected to be a best seller.

Laura Bush is a former schoolteacher and an avid reader. She is one of the founders of the Washington, D.C. book festival, and a recommended reading list on her Web site.

No word yet on the details of the deal, but it's expected to be as lucrative as the $8 million deal Hillary Clinton got. President Bush hinted he may want to write a book as well, and there was no comment on how much effort will need to be put into spell checking or sentence structure.
