TV Star Cobie Smulders Pregnant

Both female “How I Met Your Mother” stars now expecting.
Cobie Smulders, one of the stars of the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, is pregnant with her first child.
The Canadian actress is expecting with actor Taran Killam, who has appeared on the show as well as Mad TV and several Nickelodeon comedies. The baby is due late this spring.
This makes two pregnant cast members for How I Met Your Mother. Alyson Hannigan, the other female star of the show, announced her pregnancy last month. She is also expecting her first child, with husband Alexis Denisof, late next spring.
“Everyone is tremendously excited by all the impending motherhood here at ‘How I Met Your Mother,’” series co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement this afternoon. “We’re all so happy for Cobie and Aly, who will undoubtedly be amazing moms!”
According to Entertainment Weekly.com, there’s no official word on how these developments will affect the show yet. However, given recent plot lines, it looks like the pregnancies won’t be written into the story.
