Richie Drags Benji Madden Away

Finding it hard to accept that Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden and her best friend, Paris Hilton, have ended their relationship, Nicole Richie is doing her best to keep Benji from dating other girls.

After the heiress admitted that she and Benji were "taking a break" after nine months of dating, Benji's twin brother, Joel, revealed that he was holding up well. However, Richie seems to be having a more difficult time maintaining a calm demeanor.

According to Times of India, Richie, who is dating Joel Madden, was seen at a party for Good Charlotte and their latest album, Greatest Remixes. Instead of enjoying the party though, sources who attended the launch party told the New York Post that Richie did everything in her power to keep the ladies from Benji. "(Richie) has been really possessive and stops him from talking to other girls. Benji was approached by dozens of ladies. Girls were trying to flirt with him . . . but Nicole kept getting in the way," the source said.

"(Richie) stopped every girl trying to take a photo of him (and) dragged him by the arm (away from the girls)," the source added.
