Lily Allen Hates Obsession over Her
Lashing out at the media for promoting an obsession with celebrity culture, Lily Allen has branded it as a bad influence on young people.
Singer Lily Allen, whose second album, It's Not Me, It's Not You, will be arriving in stores soon, believes that the celebrity obsession is extremely unhealthy. "There are definitely things that come out of it that are really good," Allen reveals, discussing some of the benefits of being a younger star, like getting paid "ridiculous amounts of money to DJ at nightclubs."
However, insisting that the focus of the media and the constant celebrity coverage is not beneficial, Allen tells the British newspaper, the Daily Star, "But there are bad things that are really bad not just for me. I don't think celebrity culture is very healthy for young people at all."
