Coldplay, Leona Lewis Are Tops on ITunes

Artists were most downloaded this year.
Coldplay had the most downloaded album of 2008 on iTunes, while Leona Lewis had the biggest selling single, reports the Associated Press.
Viva la Vida by Coldplay has sold over 2 million copies since its June release. According to Coldplay’s rep, more than 500,000 copies of it had been purchased on iTunes. A spokesman for iTunes said that they don’t release sales figures as they announced their list on Monday.
Leona Lewis, winner of The X Factor in the UK, had the most downloaded single with “Bleeding Love.” The song sold 3.2 million copies digitally, as per her record label, J Records. Coldplay took the second spot with its album’s title track.
“Low” by Flo Rida, “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry, and Rihanna’s “Disturbia” were in the top five as well.
As for the rest of the top 10, Rihanna also had “Don’t Stop the Music” make the list, Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop,” the Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown duet “No Air,” “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles, and Natasha Bedingfield’s “Pocketful of Sunshine” were also among the most downloaded.
