The reformed singer said it took hard work to get her pre-baby body back.
After two babies, a divorce and a public meltdown, singer Britney Spears said it was hard work to get her body back for her upcoming tour, according to People magazine.
"I have had to work hard at getting [my body] back to where it used to be," Spears said in the new issue of Glamour magazine. "I used to be obsessed with working out. . . . But I can't get motivated right now because I'm so focused on my music."
The singer said she also feels that going to the gym is a chore.
"It isn't fun [for me], so to do it every day would be horrible," Spears said. "Three days a week is cool, even two. It makes me feel good and feel like I've done something. It's important to take care of your body."
Spears said her effort to get back into shape makes her appreciate her body more.
"Recently I started to appreciate my body a bit more from before I had kids," the singer said. "But it completely changed."
Spears’s sixth album, Circus, has been widely publicized as the singer’s comeback album and hits stores Tuesday. Official tour dates for the United States were released earlier this week and are available on Spears’s Web site.
