Seth MacFarlane: Smartest Person in TV
The top spot on Entertainment Weekly's annual list of the 25 smartest people in television isn't number one, but rather one billion.
Seth MacFarlane, creator of the hit cartoons, Family Guy and American Dad, is this year's smartest person, according to the mag, and this new title only adds to the stellar 2008 MacFarlane has had so far.
The Associated Press reports that not only is MacFarlane the highest paid writer on television today, but he also has a Family Guy spin-off in the works called The Cleveland Show. Also, DVDs and merchandise of Family Guy have racked up sales of a reported $1 billion.
Coming in second was another star who had reason to celebrate in 2008, Emmy winner Tina Fey. The 30 Rock guest star and talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey, came in sixth.
