Winehouse’s Husband Sent Back to Prison

After being released from prison and checking into a rehab clinic, Blake Fielder-Civil failed a drug test and was ordered back to prison.
A month after being released from prison and checking into a drug rehabilitation facility, Blake Fielder-Civil, the estranged husband of soul singer Amy Winehouse, failed a drug test and has been ordered back to prison, according to People magazine.
"I can confirm he has been recalled," Fielder-Civil's lawyer, Kate Anderson, said.
Fielder-Civil was released early from prison with the condition that he complete rehab treatment. Fielder-Civil was originally sentenced to 27 months for assault charges and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Anderson said when someone is recalled, as Fielder-Civil has been, "you then serve the remainder of the sentence." For Fielder-Civil, that would mean remaining incarcerated until 2010.
Britain’s Sun tabloid reported that Fielder-Civil ran away from the rehab facility on Tuesday night to visit Winehouse at a London-area hospital. The 25-year-old singer remains hospitalized as part of her treatment for a reaction to medication.
The Sun reported that Fielder-Civil "turned up in hospital and hell broke loose. He was asking Amy to forgive him."
Over the weekend, Fielder-Civil admitted to the News of the World that he introduced Winehouse to hard drugs and he was ready to end their marriage to help her get better.
"I have to let her go to save her life," he told the publication.
