Brother of Mark Ruffalo Taken Off Life Support

After nearly a week struggling to live, Scott Ruffalo died on Monday, December 8.

After being shot on Wednesday, December 3, Scott Ruffalo, the brother of actor Mark Ruffalo, died on Monday, December 8. According to officials, he died after being taken off of life support just after 10:15 p.m. The two people initially labeled as possible suspects, Brian Scofield, 29, and Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26, surrendered on Monday, December 8.

Adham and Scofield turned themselves in to police at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, after having been designated as people "of interest" to police investigating the crime. Scofield was released by December 9, (only booked for a traffic infraction), though Adham is still under arrest and is being viewed as the primary suspect in the shooting. There is no known motive, and it is still not clear whether or not the young couple knew Ruffalo or if it was a random crime.

Police labeled it as a criminal investigation. Adham is reportedly related to the Saudi Arabian royal family, and has already engaged a high-powered attorney to defend her. She is under arrest for attempted murder. The charge may change since the victim is now dead.
