Paula's Got a Bone to Pick

Paula Abdul is pissed . . . if you believe Barbara Walters, anyway. On The View, Walters, not known as a lightning rod of controversy, made some rather interesting remarks about an interview she recently held with the American Idol judge.

Apparently, Paula Abdul is none too happy with the honchos at American Idol, whom she is alleging knew all about Paula Goodspeed, the obsessed woman who recently committed suicide outside of Paula Abdul's Sherman Oaks home, who Walters claims Abdul said she already had a restraining order against, and asked that she not be allowed to be a contestant.

According to Walters, putting on Goodspeed made her "terribly nervous." Walters said Abdul "did not want her [Goodspeed] trying out." She also reportedly blamed Simon Cowell for her behavior that day, claiming that Cowell was trying to throw off her concentration and talking in her ear. She did not want to "stoop" as low as him, according to Walters.

Walters apparently thinks this might be Abdul's last season, judging by what Abdul said about her relationship with Cowell and with those behind American Idol. Abdul was a scheduled guest on The View for Monday, December 8.
