Miley Cyrus Hired for Private Holiday Party

Tween sensation received almost $1 million for gig.

Miley Cyrus has performed in arenas and at awards shows. Now, she's added holiday parties to the mix.

E! Online reports that Houston attorney Mark Lanier hired Cyrus, 16, to perform at his private holiday party on Sunday night.

A source told E! that Cyrus arrived in Houston on Saturday with her entourage and performed at the "Christmas Cheers and Charity" party. The annual event had more than 7,000 guests attending. It benefits the Guatemala SANA charity for impoverished people of that country.

Cyrus was featured on the invitations that were sent out last month. A pop-up version of her was on it and "Texas Bar-B-Q, fajitas and amusements" were also listed on the invites.

The source also told E! that Cyrus, her dancers, and band "will receive close to $1 million" for performing at the event.
