Paula Abdul's Not Going Anywhere

It's been a long month for entertainer Paula Abdul. First, a stalker apparently overdoses right outside of her home, and then Abdul had a number of very public bones to pick with her American Idol costar, Simon Cowell, and production team. Now, however, according to those behind American Idol, they hope for her to continue in her popular role as celebrity judge of those seeking to become the next musical idol.

Abdul had recently commented that before Paula Goodspeed (who committed suicide outside of Abdul's L.A. home) auditioned for the show, she had pleaded with producers not to allow the former stalker to try out. Her pleas reportedly fell on deaf ears. She also complained that Cowell had purposely been trying to disrupt her concentration.

Abdul is known as a singing sensation, and is one of three celebrity judges on American Idol. It is expected that a fourth judge will join the team in 2009.
