David Copperfield's Assistant Didn't Know the Trick . . .

Perhaps there is something to the idea of a master magician after all.

Whether it's just an illusion or not, magic is exciting, and sometimes dangerous. David Copperfield, the world famous magician who once made the Statue of Liberty disappear, has been performing a trick where he walks through a rotating industrial fan with 12 foot blades.

in the moment before Copperfield walked through the blades, one of his assistants was sucked into the fan. the assistant, whose name is being withheld for privacy, broke his arm and severely injured his face, requiring surgery. Copperfield paid him a visit after his surgery, even performing a short magic show for him.

The trick itself has bee performed by Copperfield over 3,000 times, according to his executive producer Chris Kenner. While that show ended quickly, no other shows are being canceled, and the trick is not being altered in any way.
