Palins Have a "Tripp"

The newest addition to the Palin family: Tripp!

Meet Tripp. He'll be the newest star of the Alaskan press.

According to reports, Bristol Palin, the eldest daughter of Alaska's Governor Sarah Palin, gave birth to a son on Saturday, December 27. The baby boy was named Tripp, and will presumably take the last name of his father, Levi Johnston. Tripp was reportedly a little over seven pounds, a healthy and larger weight for a new baby.

News hit right before the Republican National Convention that Bristol, 18, was an unmarried mother-to-be. Gov. Palin's running mate at the time, Senator John McCain, appeared to embrace the young couple. Much speculation was made in the media over the pregnancy, but was quickly swiped down as cheap.

Governor Sarah Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate for the presidency, had spoken about the pregnancy, and confirmed that her teenage daughter and her boyfriend would marry.
