Bacon and Sedgwick Latest Victims of Madoff Fraud

Bernard Madoff must really get the award for most hated man in 2008 as the list of celebrities falling for the $50 billion Ponzi scheme orchestrated by the unscrupulous investor keeps on growing. The latest victims are actors Kevin Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick.

Allen Eichorn, Bacon's representative, corroborated the news to New York Magazine. "I can confirm that they had investments with Mr. Madoff - no further specifics or comment beyond that."

The list, which already included Steven Spielberg's Wunderkinder Foundation and Jeffrey Katzenberg from DreamWorks, is composed of multimillionaire companies and individuals who trusted Madoff with their money and saw it disappear when the financier confessed that he had been committing the fraud for years.

Eichorn called for the media to not wonder about how much money and assets the celebrity couple lost. "Please, let's not speculate or rely on hearsay."
