Why Did Jett Travolta Have to Die?
In an already surprising year 2009, sad news has cast a shadow over the start of the year. On Friday, word came that the eldest son of actor John Travolta died at the young age of 16. Jett Travolta, who reportedly suffered from Kawasaki syndrome (according to his mother, actress Kelly Preston), and may have been autistic, died while vacationing in the Bahamas with his parents.
After arriving in the picturesque island getaway to ring in the New Year, either on Thursday evening or Friday morning, Jett was in the bathroom, when he suffered a seizure. As a result, he may have fallen and hit his head on the bathtub, either causing death by blood loss and shock, blunt force trauma, or another related way. It was also reported early on that Jett Travolta might have been suffering from another illness.
An autopsy will be performed, probably on Monday, according to official estimates, in the Bahamas, where the body of the teenager was found in an upscale vacation house in which the Travolta family was staying.
It has been whispered that Jett was autistic, but that since Scientology does not officially recognize autism, Preston and Travolta did not call their son autistic. Preston and Travolta have one younger daughter together, Ella Bleu, who is 8 years old.
