Heather Locklear Pleads Guilty, Gets Probation

Actress charged with reckless driving.
BBCNews is reporting that actress Heather Locklear, who was arrested in September for driving under the influence of prescription drugs, was sentenced with three years of informal probation. She was also charged the maximum fine of $900. Locklear pleaded guilty to reckless driving, part of a deal that saw her charges reduced. The former Dynasty star will also be required to take driving instruction. In September, police found her car parked in a lane, blocking traffic in Montecito, California. California Highway Patrol said she showed signs of “obvious impairment” when she was arrested. The actress, who was married for 11 years to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora until their divorce in 2007, checked herself into a medical clinic earlier in 2008 to seek treatment for anxiety and depression. The Golden Globe-nominated actress is also known for her roles in the television shows, Melrose Place and Spin City.
