Marley and Me Breaks $100 Million

The Christmas release has officially broken the $100 million mark.

Happy holidays to Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, courtesy of the filmgoing public. This weekend officially marked the point at which Marley & Me surpassed a grand total of $100,000,000, having earned over $106 million at the U.S. box office.

Released to mediocre reviews, Marley & Me went on to top the box office for two weekends in a row.

According to early reports, Marley & Me took in a little over $24,000,000 for the weekend, while the film in second place, Bedtime Stories, with Adam Sandler, wasn't far behind, taking in over $20,000,000 this weekend. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Aniston's ex, Brad Pitt, came in third place, bringing in just under $2,000,000 less than Bedtime Stories, at over $18,000,000. While Benjamin Button has not been a steady box office champ, unlike Marley & Me, it has been steadily talked about as a possible Oscar champ, at least for lead Brad Pitt.
