Commissioner Gordon Dead at 84

Pat Hingle, we hardly knew ye.
In a sad bit of news, actor Pat Hingle, 84, who we may all remember as Commissioner Gordon in the Tim Burton "Batman" movie series, died in North Carolina.
The familiar face was in many movies throughout nearly five decades. The role modern audiences may remember him best for, as Gordon, has been resurrected by actor Gary Oldman, who plays a younger version of the Commissioner in the Christopher Nolan "Batman" series.
