Jennifer Love Hewitt and Fiancé Split

Couple ended it over the holidays.
So much for a Happy New Year.
People reports that actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiancé, Ross McCall, have ended their engagement.
A close source said, “They broke up over the holidays. They’re both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy.”
Reps for the actors had no comment.
In November 2007, the star of CBS’s Ghost Whisperer, 29, and the Scottish actor, 32, got engaged after dating for two years.
After unflattering pictures of her in a bikini surfaced in the press in 2007, Hewitt slimmed down and told People it was because of her upcoming wedding.
“I’m getting ready to turn 30 and get married and all those things,” Hewitt said, “This year was my year to try to glow from within and feel better.”
McCall appeared in one episode of Ghost Whisperer in 2006. He costarred in HBO’s 2001 miniseries, Band of Brothers.
The source said, at this point, “Everyone just wants the best for both of them.”
