The hit comedy show, “Scrubs,” starts off “new” for its final season.
The Emmy Award winning show has moved to another network, ABC, for its eighth and final season, after being at NBC since October 2, 2001. According to the Boston Herald, Bill Lawrence, creator and executive producer of the show, wants to give loyal fans a proper farewell of the hit TV show, starring Zach Braff and Donald Faison.
Lawrence also stated that after the show's ending there’s a slight possibility it could continue for another season and focus on the interns who are introduced in this season. “It would have to be the way ‘Frasier’ was after ‘Cheers,’ not the way ‘After M*A*S*H’ was after ‘M*A*S*H,’ Lawrence said.
In addition to the possible Scrubs spin-off, Lawrence is working on a new series called Cougar Town, starring Courteney Cox. The season finally of Scrubs will begin on Jan. 6, 2009.
