David E. Kelley's Newest Discovery???

Can David E. Kelley, who brought us Fox's "Ally McBeal" and ABC's "Life on Mars," have lightning strike twice by making yet another unknown a star?

David E. Kelley took unknown actress Calista Flockhart and turned her into a household name when he cast her in the title role of his monster legal dramedy hit, Fox's Ally McBeal. Now, Kelley is looking to repeat his success with 27-year-old English actress Charity Wakefield.

Kelley has cast Wakefield in his newest law drama creation, entitled Legally Mad.

According to HollywoodReporter.com, "Jon Seda also has been cast in the Warner Bros. TV-produced project, which centers on Brady Hamm (Wakefield), a twenty-something woman who takes a job at her father's law firm and quickly becomes the practice's center."

As for the rest of the cast, Seda and Wakefield are joined by ABC's Pushing Daisies cast member Kristen Chenowith.

Wakefield, an Oxford School of Drama graduate, got her big break in the industry when she appeared in BBC's 2008 adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. She portrayed the role of "Marianne Dashwood," the character Kate Winslet played in the 1995 feature film.

Seda's television credits include Homicide: Life on the Streets, Close to Home, Kevin Hill and Ghost Whisperer. He also starred in the 1997 film, Selena, which starred Jennifer Lopez in her breakout role. He will star next in the HBO World War II mini-series, The Pacific.

In terms of Legally Mad and Wakefield, we will just have to wait and see if Kelley can strike gold twice.
