Katy Perry and Travis McCoy break up.
It was “Hot N Cold” for 22-year-old singer Katy Perry before she could even say Happy New Year.
According to People.com, Perry’s relationship with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy, 27, ended over the holidays after dating for one year.
“It's sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour. She just needed a clear head. It's been non-stop work for her,” said a source close to Perry.
While the couple vacationed in Mexico, Perry was spotted crying and yelling “don’t go.” An insider revealed the quarrel became so heated that “her parents had to pull her away.”
Another source said Perry is already on the road to recovery, “It’s a hardship, but she’s regrouping.”
McCoy, on the other hand, took the time on New Year’s Eve to post a reflective message on FriendsorEnemies.com about their breakup by putting up the lyrics to hip-hop group Main Source’s “Looking at the Front Door.” The sappy tune contains such odes as, “We fight every night, now that's not kosher/I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer/And wake up to be greeted by an argument again/You act like you're ten.”
