Brolin Brawl to Be Dismissed
6-Jan-2009

Charges against Brolin and Wright are being dropped.

The Associated Press has announced that the charges filed against actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright are being dropped. The two actors were charged with interfering with police officers at a Louisiana bar last year.

Brolin, Wright and five other members of the crew of the Oliver Stone film, W., were arrested on misdemeanor charges at the Stray Cat Club on July 12 after a disturbance was called in involving one of the crew members.

Famed Los Angeles attorney Blair Berk represented the actors and five others. His sole comment on the incident was that prosecutors in Shreveport have agreed to drop charges against the group within 60 days.

Brolin, who played the title role in Stone's film, wasn't required to appear at the court hearing on Tuesday.
