Brad Pitt Sets Record Straight on Jenn vs. Angelina

Brad Pitt defends Angelina Jolie.
Brad Pitt defends the mother of his six children in the February issue of W magazine against continual reports that the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith broke up Pitt’s marriage to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
People.com reports that the Curious Case of Benjamin Button star, 45, sets the record straight about his alleged affair with Angelina Jolie.
“What people don't understand is that we filmed for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't.”
In Vogue’s recent interview with Aniston, where she called Jolie “very uncool” for confessing how she (Jolie) couldn’t wait to get to the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith everyday to work with the married actor, Pitt responds, “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It's so created.”
He also adds of Aniston, “We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life.”
Pitt has no regrets about how the circumstances materialized during his romantic link to Jolie.
“I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that's all.”
