People's Choice ceremony has singer terrified.

You would think with all the accolades Carrie Underwood has received since winning American Idol in 2005, she would be a pro at accepting awards and performing by now. Not so fast. . . .

People reports that for Wednesday's People's Choice Awards, the country cutie, 25, is a ball of nerves knowing she's up against Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

"They're both so big, and there's great competition. I'm nervous and so excited at the same time," Underwood said.

Also adding to the tension is that she will be performing her song, "I Know You Won't," with a full orchestra during the show, which will air live on CBS.

"It's a really emotional song about a guy who just won't call. We've all had that happen, right?" she said.

But her mood brightened when she found out she'll be wearing three different gowns during the show that are vibrant in color. She said that the colors made her "happy" when she tried them on. The dresses are designed by George Chakra, Zuhair Murad, and Naeem Kahn.

Underwood has always been grateful for all of the success she has achieved and this time is no different."It means so much that the fans are still supporting me and that I had fans before I even had a career," she said, "They've been there with me the whole time."

And they will surely be there cheering her on at the People's Choice Awards.
