Brolin Gets Off Nearly Scot-Free

After a reportedly brutal arrest in 2007, actor Josh Brolin may be getting off of charges.

Acclaimed actor Josh Brolin reportedly will have all charges dropped against him. According to reports, Brolin, who was arrested with fellow actor Jeffrey Wright in Louisiana in 2007, will not formally be charged with any of the alleged offenses, but will be on a more symbolic probation. Brolin had told W magazine of the quixotic situation in which he found himself after briefly being arrested in Louisiana in summer 2007, stating that it was "nice to be in jail knowing that I hadn't done anything wrong," and it was also "maddening to be in jail knowing that I hadn't done anything wrong."

The charges against both Brolin and Wright were dropped. The two were arrested last summer, after allegedly being involved in a bar fight. According to a statement released by Wright, he stated his belief that, "These arrests should never have happened."

The two had been arrested for "interfering" with police business. TMZ posted a video of the arrests, which appears to show the two actors being pepper sprayed, tasered and possibly roughed up.
