Tim McGraw Hesitant to Let Daughters Date
8-Jan-2009

Sons of his friends had better watch out.
Tim McGraw has to know that having three daughters will eventually lead them to dating once they become teenagers. Or does he?
“I think I am in denial,” he said to Family Circle magazine about his girls, Gracie, 12, Maggie, 10, and Audrey, 7, going out with boys in later years.
He does have ideas on what to do with these potential mates. He said, “I’ve jokingly told my friends who have sons the same age as Gracie that I’m going to hit the nicest boy of the bunch right off the bat.”
This method will hopefully relay a message back to the boy’s friends. “So when he goes to school with a black eye, all of the other boys will see that I’ve punched the nicest one and they’ll be scared to death of me.”
The country star admits he’s not really a pushover, but his wife, singer Faith Hill, would disagree. Then he said he does have fun doing girl stuff.
“My girls have me wrapped around their little fingers. We also play dress up and I let them put makeup on me. But even if we’re grocery shopping it’s still a good time,” McGraw said.
He grew up around a lot of women, so that feeling isn’t unusual for him. But sometimes, he has to put a stop to something. “I draw the line at seeing too many chick flicks with Faith,” he said.
McGraw and Hill have been married for 12 years and still do one thing in order to feel connected when they are apart.
“Call each other before we get on a flight and after we land. It’s our rule,” he said.
