Lil’ Kim vs. Faith Evans . . . Controversy over “Notorious”
9-Jan-2009
Written by: Edgar Acero
The premiere of Notorious, the film about the life of Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls, was attended by almost everyone in the hip-hop world. P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Nas, Beyoncé, and Ice T were among the sea of stars who came out to see the movie. However, there was one very important celebrity missing. So important that she is even portrayed in the movie: Lil’ Kim.
The Queen, who publicly stated that she does not support the movie, blamed Faith Evans and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, for what she believes was a negative portrayal, according to MTV.com.
Kim told Hip-Hop Weekly that she “had enough and I'm about to expose them both. . . . I've been quiet for a long time.” She also stated her disappointment towards Evans and warned, “There's nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin' B.I.G. all day. I'm gonna always do that. . . . It's time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed.”
Evans, who read the quotes in the magazine, called Kim’s comments “kinda sad,” adding, “I got four kids, and I definitely don't have time for this type of sh--.”
Kim’s threats to “expose” Evans left Biggie’s widow wondering. “I don't think there's anything about me that I would be ashamed of that I haven't already told people,” she said.
