Brooke Burke Talks About Maksim and Karina’s Engagement

Admits couple has “chemistry.”
Brooke Burke knew when she was on Dancing with the Stars that fellow hoofers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff had something going on.
“You could see the chemistry,” Burke said to People, “I’m really happy for them and I hope it works out.”
The couple got engaged on New Year’s Eve while partying at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
“They say you’re supposed to marry from around the block,” Burke said, “Culturally they have a lot of similarities and a really passionate, steamy love affair going on.”
She went on to say that when the pair danced, “it was like fire.”
Burke, 37, opted not to join the “DWTS” tour. But she does keep in touch with her pals from Season 7 of the hit show and says that they are enjoying life on the road.
“I just couldn’t pack up and leave my kids and do the tour,” she said, “But, from talking to everyone, it sounds like they’re all having fun.”
