“American Idol's” Cook and Caldwell Call It Quits

Couple began dating last May.
A new judge isn’t the only thing making news about American Idol. Now, there’s an Idol-related split.
Last year’s winner, David Cook, and girlfriend, season 2 finalist Kimberly Caldwell, have broken up, E! reports.
Caldwell’s rep said to In Touch, “Kimberly and David ended their relationship just before the holidays.”
Like most couples, the pair are on good terms. “The couple remain good friends and, being very private people, appreciate their privacy at this time,” Caldwell’s rep added.
Cook and Caldwell, both 26, began dating last May. Cook had asked her out while she did reporting on the red carpet during the Idol finale for the TV Guide Channel. They were seen at a Dodgers game a few weeks later.
Cook recently announced he will be going on a national tour next month, while Caldwell will be hosting a talent competition for MTV.
