Britney Spears to Sign Almighty Book Deal!

Digital Spy today reports that Britney Spears is to sign a book deal worth over $10 million to write and release her official biography. According to the Mirror, the singer has already teamed up with a literary agent and is to start the writing process after the completion of her world tour.

One insider told Digital Spy, "There have been numerous unofficial biographies printed about Britney, but she's never agreed to pen her own tome - until now."

However, OK! Magazine suggests that the rumors cannot be entirely believed. They heard from one U.S. publisher, "That seems ridiculously high for a book deal," the source tells OK!. "Even though she's a huge star, that doesn't mean anyone wants to read an autobiography by her. To make back that much of an advance, the publisher would have to sell Harry Potter-size numbers."

Spears's mother, Lynne, released her own autobiography last month, entitled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.
