Obama on My Mind
Obama musical will open in London.
Barack Obama is in the minds of millions as he begins his presidency, but one person has taken that inspiration and turned it into something more.
"Obama on My Mind," a musical inspired by Obama's campaign, is set to open in March at the Hens and Chickens Theatre in London. American-born Teddy Hayes wrote the playbook, music and lyrics. According to the New York Times, the musical will take a "humorous look at the weird and wonderful world behind the scenes of a small Obama campaign office."
There is no information on the casting, but Access Hollywood reports that Hayes said there would be no Obama character on stage because "nobody can really impersonate Obama, can they?"
The play will run from March 3 through March 21.
