Dakota Fanning in "Twilight" Sequel, "New Moon"?
Dakota Fanning is talking with Summit Entertainment about playing Jane in the Twilight sequel, New Moon.
According to Marc Malkin, of E! Online, Fanning was just offered the part without having to audition for it. Fanning is said to currently be going "back and forth" with the studio as they try to negotiate the deal.
Her character, Jane, is described as being "a petite blonde with a 'Botticelli angel-like face . . . [and] crimson irises.'" She is a member of the most deadly group of vampires in Stephenie Meyer's series.
Coincidentally, reports Malkin, a Twilight fan started a petition asking the studio to cast the teen actress because "she would be perfect for the role."
New Moon is expected to start shooting in March and if all goes well, to be released November 20.
