Knightley and Farrell Unite on Screen

Press Association reports that Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell are to costar in a new film loosely based around the story of Sunset Boulevard. Variety reports that the film will be called London Boulevard and will be directed by William Monaghan, who wrote The Departed.

Knightley will play a reclusive actress who hides away in a mansion, and Farrell a South London criminal who befriends the young actress. A source told the Daily Mail that the actress in the film was once a big star like Knightley "but she's pursued by photographers, she takes medications and slowly retreats from the world, shutting herself away until this man from the wrong side of the tracks comes into her life. It's like a beauty and the beast tale."

Set in London and the Home Counties, the film will go into production from May of this year.
