Child Actress Dakota Fanning May Join "Twilight" Ranks

All news behind the stars of the "Twilight" films has been big. Perhaps it is because this generation is so plugged in, and that information is so quickly available, but whenever a major casting decision has been announced, the fans have responded . . . and responded quickly.

Dakota Fanning is best known for her roles as a precocious child in such movies as Uptown Girls. The latest buzz is that Fanning may be the newest person to join the "Twilight" ranks. Though merely speculation until now, it was confirmed late this week, by HitFlix, that Fanning has indeed been negotiating a role. But who will she be?

Recently, the role of Jacob Black was up in the air. Would Taylor Lautner return, or would there be a new sheriff in town? The outcry was audible: Many wanted Lautner back . . . and the fans have spoken. Lautner was recently announced as returning to the film sequel.
