Actors Honor Each Other at SAG Awards

Slumdog Millionaire and "30 Rock" are among the winners at the SAG awards.

The Screen Actors Guild seems to agree with the foreign press on whom they think should be honored in film and television for their work in 2008. Many of the winners at the SAG awards were the same as at the Golden Globes. Just like at the Globes, Slumdog Millionaire, The Reader's Kate Winslet, The Dark Knight's Heath Ledger, Mad Men, 30 Rock, 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, and John Adams's Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney all took home awards.

At the SAG Awards, Sean Penn was honored for his role as Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected politician, in Milk. Meryl Streep was given the award for "Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role" for Doubt. House's Hugh Laurie and Brothers & Sisters' Sally Field won in the lead actor in dramatic television series categories. The stunt men and women of The Dark Knight and Heroes were also honored. James Earl Jones was this year's recipient of the "Lifetime Achievement Award."

Now the question is, will the same films and actors win Oscars next month?
