Tyler Perry Fuming Over Tax Lien
Tyler Perry may not be a mad black woman, but he is fuming just the same after six construction companies filed liens against him.
According to the Associated Press, Tyler Perry, the screenwriter and midwife of the popular "Medea" series, was hit with accusations about $200,000 worth of payments he allegedly withheld from the companies.
Said Perry, "There's a Tyler Perry tax put on things," referring to his alleged mistreatment because of his celebrity status.
"He wanted to do it this way," Said Brooks Hilton, a contract landscaper who claims that Perry owed him $17,000. "he wouldn't take my advice. I guess in Hollywood it works that way, but not in real life."
