Tour Time for Taylor

The year is starting out right for Taylor Swift with a chart topping album and now her first headling tour.

The 19-year-old country and pop star will begin her Fearless Tour 2009 in Evansville, Ill. on April 23 and will continue performing in 51 other cities over the next six months, according to People Magazine.

Swift has previously opened for fellow country stars Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Rascall Flatts, reports E! Online. This time she is the star of the show with BFF Kellie Pickler as her opening act. Pickler is a former "American Idol" contestant who delighted viewers with her lovable personality and Southern charm.

People Magazine reports that the two singers met in 2007 while on tour with Brad Paisley. It hasn't taken the girls long to become close friends and consider each other family. Swift calls Pickler the older sister she never had and says that her mom thinks of Kellie as a second daughter.

Radar Online reports that Swift's concert set will include a huge fairy tale castle. Her album, "Fearless," has been number one on the Billboard 200 for the past eight weeks in a row and has sold 287,000 copies in the US, according to Billboard.

Not only is Swift music-savvy but she also understands the current economic situation. In order to help make it easy for fans to come out and enjoy her show, she plans to start ticket prices as low as $20.
