Bonnaroo Fest '09 Lineup: Phish, Merle Haggard and . . . Bruce Springsteen?
The Bonnaroo Festival is about to get a taste of Jersey.
According to the Associated Press, the lineup for the festival has been announced, and the list sounds like a grab bag of various artists, from punk acts to jam bands.
Among the performers for the June 11 to 14 festival are the Beastie Boys, Phish, and Bruce Springsteen.
Springsteen, 59, has been experiencing a revival lately with his new single for the movie, The Wrestler, shooting up in the charts and critical acclaim for his performance during the Super Bowl.
The annual event, held on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, has gained a reputation in recent years as a haven for ex-hippies, young teens and music fans alike. The fest typically features over 160 acts and 20 comedians performing on at least 13 stages.
