Jennifer Hudson may still be grieving over the death of her mother, brother and nephew, but she isn't letting their tragic deaths stop her from performing for Clive Davis.

According to the AP, Hudson is booked to perform during several Grammy related events, including a party in honor of Davis, 77, known for his work with Billy Joel and the Pink Floyd.
The entertainer rehearsed her song, "Spotlight," for the bash Thursday night.
Said Davis, "The spotlight is where it belongs--on her."
According to Davis, Hudson personally telephoned Davis and asked if she could perform for him at the function.
Hudson, herself a contender for the Grammy in four separate categories, first emerged out of seclusion in January, following the October 2008 slayings of Darnell Donaldson and Jason Donaldson. Hudson's nephew, Julian King, was discovered slain on Chicago's West Side, three days later.
