Anna Nicole Smith Channels Psychic On Death's Anniversary

Two years following her unexpected death at the Seminole Hard Rock Hoteland Casino in Hollywood, Fla., the busty former Playboy Playmate and reality TV star, communicated with renowned psychic medium Mary Occhino, author of the books, Beyond These Four Walls, and Sign of the Dove, and her CelestialWhispers Web site. She answered some of the most pressing questions surrounding her life and death.

Occhino was relaxing in her Long Island home on Sunday morning and was surfing through television channels. When she came across the E! channel, a channel she says she hardly ever watches, something told her to stop. The station was on a commercial break and Occhino didn't know what program was on. When the show came back from break, it was aspecial on Anna Nicole.

Occhino was enthralled, not only because she knew that the celebrity had passed on but because she had recently spoken with Anna Nicole's friends, Patrik Simpson and Pol' Atteu, from L.A., on her weekly call-in radio show on Sirius, Angels On Call, which Occhino claims is the second-most listened to program behind Howard Stern. When the story focused on Anna Nicole's lawyer and partner, Howard K. Stern, Occhino says she suddenly felt the star's presence in her bedroom.

"I've read a lot of celebrities before, but this was the first time with her," said Occhino, who has been channeling spirits for 40 years. "I'm like a psychiatrist in that way. What I am not is a psychic paparazzi. I'm not going to sell their story unless they contact me and ask me to pass on a message."

She said that all of a sudden, she felt a surge of energy, something that is common when channeling.

"Remember when your mom called you to wake up when you were a kid," said Occhino. "Channeling is like someone physically grabbing you and getting you out of bed."

Occhino has been the subject of scientific experiments regarding psychic mediums, and her years of practice has taught her to write down everything she experiences as it happens. She said she shot up out of her bed and grabbed a pen and pad of paper.

Anna Nicole's feelings toward Stern were unmistakable.

"I love you Howard now and forever," she told Occhino. "You were always there for me and my son and never exploited us. You were there when no one else was. You were, and are, the love of my life and I have taken our love to Heaven with Danny [her son, Daniel Smith, who died in 2006]."

Occhino says that Anna Nicole wishes Larry Birkhead to be a "great father" to her daughter, Dannielynn, and to keep her from being "exploited by the media as so many people believe I was . . . and now I do know I was."

Anna Nicole urged Birkhead not to allow Dannielynn to be abused "mentally, emotionally or physically." She promised that she would help him along the way.

According to Occhino, there is no time for thinking or feeling while being channeled. Her thoughts and feelings take a backseat to those of the spirit, and that she is an instrument of communication. When asked if she will attempt to contact Anna Nicole's friends and family, Occhino said she won't."

"I'll leave it to the universe. If they want to connect with me, theycan call me. I won't charge them anything for it."

Occhino says that Anna Nicole feels remorse for the negative attention drawn to her family following her death. Especially painful was the DNA testing and custody battle that eventually proved Birkhead is Dannielynn's biological father.

"Larry, it was done because of my love for Howard and my fear that she would possibly be exploited if she were not in his charge," she told Occhino. "You have her charge now and you must be responsible for her well-being. Please again make sure she spends lots of time with Howard, too!"

Occhino says Anna Nicole refutes the idea that she was a "dumb blonde."

"I was a broken blonde who had been abused most of my childhood and that is what made me what I was as an adult; a person always looking to ease the pain and the visions of my past. I was not an addict to medication because I just wanted to be stoned. I kept taking the drugs to ease the pain."

Through the final years of her life, Occhino says Anna Nicole was focused on one thing: her son Daniel Smith, who passed away of mysterious causes three days after her daughter's birth.

"I did not commit suicide altough I did not know how I could honestly live without my son there on Earth," Anna Nicole told her. "I wanted to be with him, and thought about finding him in Heaven and to make sure he was in the light because he was always afraid of the dark."

She also told Occhino, "The only time I could communicate with Danny was in my dreams. I took the medications to sleep and dream and be with him."

Occhino says Anna Nicole left with her final messages for Dannielynn, her mother, Virgie Arthur, and the rest of the world:

"I'm sorry my little angel that I am not there now to hold you in my arms, but I promise that you will have a great life and I will make sure from Heaven that you will never be abused as I was.

"To my mother: Please let everything be. Please do not try to take my baby from where she is. Please do not bring anyone else to court or try to exhume Danny and my physical bodies from their haven because you will lose. I do love you and don't fault you now from Heaven, but ask that you leave well enough alone for now and always.

"I want my little angel Danny Lynne to be in peace and as she grows up and becomes a true superstar. I am asking that the world becomes her mama and helps [sic] her stay strong and along the right path.

"My love to all my friends, especially Patrik and Pol' who were, and are, my real buddies. Thank you for carrying out my wishes . . . kisses to you. XOXOXOXOX.

"Lastly, to the rest of the world: when you remember me, please remember me as a mother first, a loyal friend and a person who was damaged and tried like hell to get out of the hell of my past. I love you all. Anna. XXXOOO."

Occhino says that when the channeling had finished, she felt "like I had just talked with a very close friend." When asked if she will ever speak with Anna Nicole Smith again, she said that it was probable, that now that contact was made the door is open.

And unlike the show, Ghost Whisperer, which Occhino considers a very good show and an accurate portrayal of what a medium goes through, once a spirit goes to the light and crosses over, they are not gone forever. They may come back.
