Chris Brown and Rhianna Pull Out of Grammys

Chris Brown and Rihanna were unable to perform at the Grammys because of an incident that happened earlier in the day.

Sunday night's Grammy Awards were two performers short because of a police investigation involving R&B singer Chris Brown. Reuters reports that Brown was under investigation for attacking a woman after an argument in his car early on Sunday. E! Online reports that the argument started in his car and escalated after Brown stopped the car and he and his woman companion got out and continued.

Police have not released the name of the woman victim to the attack, but E! Online reports that the alleged victim was Brown's girlfriend, Rihanna. Rihanna's publicist has only said that the singer was involved in a traffic mishap and that she is doing well.

The incident caused Brown and girlfriend Rihanna to miss their scheduled performances at the Grammys. The it-couple not only missed their chance to entertain the crowd, but they didn't walk the red carpet nor did they make it to the awards ceremony.

Brown owned up to his actions and turned himself in to the Los Angeles police, tonight around 7 p.m. People magazine reports that he is being held in custody with bail at $50,000.
