Grey's Anatomy Saying Goodbyes to Heigl, Knight
The hit medical drama, "Grey's Anatomy," is two docs short, after stars Katherine Heigl and T. R. Knight announced their departure from the show.
According to the AP, James Pickens, who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the ABC series, told Us magazine that the pair were leaving the show.
"I wish her [Heigl] nothing but the best," Pickens said in the wide ranging interview, in which Pickens revealed the behind the scenes gripes between Heigl and Knight that led to their decision to leave.
"He's going too," Pickens said. "He [and Heigl] just want to pursue different career paths."
Agents for Heigl and Knight are mum on the news. Neither did Shonda Rimes, the show's creator, return calls from reporters seeking comment.
Though Heigl is leaving the set, she still has a career on the big screen. The Ugly Truth, starring Heigl, premieres this year.
