Katy Perry Denies Relationship Rumors

Every celebrity has been a victim to the relationship rumor mill; it's no different for singer Katy Perry.

The rumors started during Valentine's Day weekend, when Katy Perry and Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden were spotted together in Las Vegas. The two were there together, but not "together."Perry and Madden are just friends; MTV reports that Perry wrote on her blog, "You know I don't just do that with anyone! That's just how the media works, as you can tell. I was there celebrating a really fun show and a boozy valentines with all my good friends. We were like a group of 25!"

The newly single Perry, who recently broke up with longtime boyfriend Travis McCoy of the Gym Class Heroes, said that Madden is a "nice, young fellow," but her heart belongs to her cat, Kitty Purry, according to MSNBC.

Madden is also newly single; he recently split from girlfriend Paris Hilton.
